    Anyone recognize this rear bumper?

That’s what the Corolla is for! 😂

    Anyone recognize this rear bumper?

I’m glad you posted that, that reminds me I need to do some grinding on the sharp edges of my receiver “slug” so it’s soft shackle friendly and I can skip the bow shackle altogether.

    Anyone recognize this rear bumper?

I feel like a lot of the stuff I see available is way overbuilt but that’s better than under I suppose. The frame mounted receiver that is on it would be fine except I’ve already smacked it two or three times in very light ditch crossings. I suspect this box is the culprit. The main reason I was...

    Anyone recognize this rear bumper?

I plan to fab some extra support plates for inside the crossmember, similar to what Smittybilt provides for their rear bumper. It’s probably more for my own peace of mind as the metal there just seems thin to my naked eye. I’m not opposed to purchasing the frame tie-ins as well.

    Anyone recognize this rear bumper?

This bumper was given to me and after bashing the rear hitch assembly a time or two I want to install this one. My intent is to pull my little bass boat to the campground from the house, which is less than 25 miles of easy road. Don’t worry folks, I drive easy too… Anyway, I’m wondering about...

Low beam failure that wasn’t the switch

At $92 for that bag, I’m good with electrical tape! That’s more than twice what the headlight upgrade and better bulbs cost me. In all seriousness I’ve already replaced the pigtail with a better one and used heat shrink butt splices on it. I cannot get the headlights to hit what I consider the...

    Bestop questions

Thanks! I was only looking at the twill version on quadratec before, which links to the part number that Bestop says is not the nx. I’m actually planning to buy next spring when the hardtop comes off which is why I was concerned they have discontinued the NX. At least it’s still available though...

    Bestop questions

I’ve been checking out Quadratec, Extreme Terrain, etc, and comparing part numbers this morning and it seems most sellers are still calling the top the NX and listing the sunrider feature even though part numbers when checked on Bestop’s page are not the NX and don’t have that feature. After the...

    Bestop questions

In my searches here I have not seen it discussed yet, that apparently Bestop has discontinued the Trektop NX and only shows the Trektop Slantback. https://www.bestop.com/products/trektop-slantback-soft-top/?vid=18684 Their webpage designer could definitely do better, and there is no mention of...

Spot or flood / spread lighting?

I’ve been considering adding cubes to the front bumper, one spot and one flood. Usually on most of my rigs that have LEDs I have relayed them from a switch run to a high beam input, so they require two inputs to light and breaking either one stops the light.

Low beam failure that wasn’t the switch

By the time you get a piece big enough to fit over the spade connector it won’t shrink enough to tighten up on the wire. I have a spare headlight connector here that I will splice in when I finish tidying it all up but didn’t have it at the shop.
