The Lifespan of Large Appliances Is Shrinking

My hunting camp has 2 fridges in it, both are probably from the 60's and both work great still. Granted they aren't on all the time though. Power is off at the camp everytime you leave it.

The Lifespan of Large Appliances Is Shrinking

I did do some troubleshooting and came up with a possible issue with some kind of defrost sensor, but when i looked for replacement parts, they don't make anything for it anymore. I'm definitely down to fix my stuff though. I've had to replace the ignitor in my oven 3 times now, fixed my old...

The Lifespan of Large Appliances Is Shrinking

Pretty much if you get 5 years out of any of them now, they consider that a good one. It’s absolutely ridiculous that these the options we get and cost of them is insane. The only GE option we have is a counter depth model that we would lose way too much storage space. I feel like we are stuck...

The Lifespan of Large Appliances Is Shrinking

I'm dealing with failing samsung fridge currently. It is 16 years old, so that's a plus. The last few months I get all kinds of condensation built up inside the refrigerator section of it. Eventually it all freezes and i have to chip it out. Had a couples times where the entire thing just shut...

What did you pay for your TJ?

Oh yeah, I'm around 70K now. It was my daily driver for the first 2 years and then turned into my going to the mountains rig. About 2 years ago it turned into a garage queen and only comes out for fun now. Day I got it:

All things trading and investing thread (stocks, metals, crypto, real estate, etc)

I'm on the bidding side of construction and based on what we've been seeing, we are already in a recession. I still have plenty of projects to bid, but instead of 3-5 bidders on projects, we are seeing 10-15 bidders on every project. And everyone is bidding cheap trying to win. We've tried...

Bought My 1st Jeep (TJ), Now Have To Get It Home

I did this in 2016 when I bought my LJR It was a 2006 with only 9K on it. History was that it was only used 1 weekend per year for hunting by the previous owner. I wouldn't worry too much about breaking down to be honest. Based on the photos, it looks like its been well taken care of.

Sounds like more people just trying to line their pockets before it all comes tumbling down.

How to resurrect an old engine design no longer made?

Not to go back to the Toyota topic, but the new twin turbo V6 in the tundra aren't doing very hot. Active recall on 22-25 models for manufacturing debris, though most are thinking its a design flaw instead. Also hitting the new Lexus GX 550 and I believe the LX too.
