    Another re-gear thread: 2004 TJ 4.0 with 31" tires

I have a 2004 TJ 4.0l and 3.73 gears with 31" tires that really struggles on mountain passes or any relatively steep hill. I live in the Cascade foothills, so i hit a pass anytime I go east. I also tow a little travel trailer of about 1000#. I want more power for towing and climbing. She is my...

    Calling Green TJs

And here she is with the Gr8tops hard top. I was worried about the color match, but it's spot on, even if you can't really tell from the pics

    Suggestions for towing mirrors?

I have a 2004 TJ that I will be towing a small camper with (about 1000 lbs) and I need some towing mirrors. Can anyone suggest some that will work? I see some clip on styles on Amazon, but the reviews aren't so great. Anyone have some they like and could recommend? Thx

Advice about campers (possible Scamp purchase) and towing capacity after lift

Thank you very much! I'm not the OP though, I won't be pulling a Scamp. My little trailer will be about 1200# loaded so I'm having brakes added. I will probably get the anti sway bar from Harbor Freight. Most people are telling me it's overkill for my set up though.

Advice about campers (possible Scamp purchase) and towing capacity after lift

I want to tow this behind my 2004 4.0l TJ Empty weight is 840#, tongue weight 105# and I plan to put less than 300# of stuff in there. It does not have trailer breaks. I have not towed anything before, but drive like the old lady I am. I do live in the Cascade foothills, so mountain passes are...

Mods that I liked more than I expected

The first "mod" I did when I bought my TJ 15 years ago is still one of my favorites. It was a silly little thing....I had a solid 2" Picture Jasper sphere made into a shift knob :) I still love it. I still think it's beautiful.
