    Interior Maintenance Restoration and Repair

It was for me as well. The point I wanted to make here though is to make sure try the baking soda cleaning route to remove fading and oxidation before you buy paint. I bought the paint and then tried the baking soda cleaning process and the results were so good I didn't have to paint.

What did you do to your TJ today?

Where do you order your toggles from?

What did you do to your TJ today?

Installed the seat bushings from @JHenley01. Install was super easy. The seat is nice and solid now. Interesting...I had thought both seat frames would be identical, but my drivers side seat doesn't have the bolt and knubby thing that takes the bushings. It's more like a slider inside of a...

WTB: TJ HARDTOP INSTALL TOOL 55177245AB

Thanks. I'm looking for the OEM one. It's more like a wrench. It's not for functionality but to "complete" a project.

I learned something about the Mopar Instatrunk today

If anyone finds a source for these I'd like one. I know there are better options but I have an Instatrunk and love all the one stuff. I'm kind of a dork like that. Let me know.

SOLD Trade - TJ Bestop Trektop NX for Bestop OEM style soft top?

Looking to trade a black Trektop NX for a black or Khaki OEM style Bestop Softtop. The PO had the NX on it, which was purchased in 2021 or 2022 as I recall. I have the receipt somewhere. No half door uppers. I'll post pics soon, but if you're interested let me knows. The NX isn't my bag.

Different tires found thinking on it

When I had a JL, a number of guys over on that forum had good things to say about them. I have no personal experience.

    TJ soft top replacement recommendations

I ascribe to the "buy once cry once" mentality. Bestop, even with their recent customer service issues, has the best product. I am about to sell my Trektop NX. It came on the Jeep, but I dislike the frameless/slant back look. I have the traditional Mastertop from Bestop I picked up second...

    Rust at base of windshield

    Rust at base of windshield

I have the same on my Jeep that I discovered. I intend to order a replacement frame, paint it myself and install it. My concern is the rust jumping from the frame to where it seats below. The only way to know is to fold it down and look. I've just not set the time aside to do it yet.

    Painted Ravines?

💯. I have a dehumidifier in my gun safe that needs to go in the oven a couple times a year, the wife is not a fan. It's gets done when she won't be around and then all evidence is destroyed with a simple lighting if the "vanilla bean Noel candle". She knows something is up though now when she...

Bushings Shot - Upgrade Control Arms?

I looked at them but I put them on a Jeep I'm marginally committed to keeping. The Core hit the right balance of price and value. I'm strange, I like to buy them, restore them and then find the next project. My wife said she's thankful I don't go through women like I do cars.

Bushings Shot - Upgrade Control Arms?

I just went through this calculus. I have a 3" lift. All bushings were shot. They were the original control arms on an '03. Everything I read said changing the bushings is a colossal PIA. So I looked at the cost of replacing with stock OEM style which more costly than I thought. So of...

What can I do to preserve my soft top?

Sail Cloth - Yeah that's what the call it. It's a denim/twill like fabric. If you've ever seen a premium JL soft top that's it. Your top is that vinyl material I think they call diamond. That's what I have. I used 303 fabric guard and liked how it did. Slight sheen and re-waterproofed. The...
