How can I disable the alarm

Is it a factory key fob or an aftermarket? When the alarm triggers is it the horn and flashers, or is there a siren under the hood also?

Savvy off-road sold? (the unofficial Savvy customer support and Savvy rant thread)

Congrats to Gerald, he always treated me right. I wish the new owners/management lot of luck! I hope Blaine isn't getting fucked in any of this as I know that most of the Savvy parts for TJ's that most of us care about, were developed by him. Hopefully the new owners don't forget the community...

Help with stereo wiring and amp

You did too many things at the same time for me to help you remotely. Sticking with just the amplifier, what color are the positive and ground wires going to the amplifier? Some use red and black, and some use Blue for the hot lead. Sometimes I've seen blue and silver. Not knowing which red...

Help with stereo wiring and amp

Now go back to the amplifier, disconnect the remote turn on wire, but leave the positive and ground connected, and then meter the amplifer on the remote turn on terminal and see if the amp is backfeeding voltage.

Help with stereo wiring and amp

That's kind of how it sounds just from listening to you describe everything. The only way I could tell would be to get my multimeter in there for myself. Here's where I would start to trouble shoot it. Unplug all of the aftermarket wiring from the factory wiring harnesses, then meter the wires...

Help with stereo wiring and amp

A 12 volt bosch square relay. Wire it so when power is cut off to it is disconnects the amp turn on wire. 30 to the amp, 87 to the yellow wire, 85 to ground, and 86 to the red wire. It should cut off when the key is shut off. If it doesnt move the wire on 87 to 87a. I forget off the top of my...

Swaybar extensions no, but I have seen springs pop out of their buckets. Thats a fun trail fix.

Help with stereo wiring and amp

if the din cable is going to an external module those extra wires might be the power wires to the module. If the white wire isn't getting power then it's not the remote and I'm not sure what it would be going to. Maybe put the amplifier turn on wire onto a relay that cuts the ckt when the key is...

I know you're not doing any mud either Boogie, it would take you to long to clean your Jeep back up to sell it.

Spring and shock choice sanity check

The Zone Combo lift is one of the least shitty of the shitty lifts, but that doesnt make it a good lift. Unless you only care about looks or flipping your Jeep for a proffit like Boogie does. The shinyness wears off quickly when you're wrenching on the side of the trail and you need to beg and...

Spring and shock choice sanity check

No mall here. And if you look in the background you'll see a broken Jeep being repaired who tried to run the trail with equipment that wasn't up to the task. If all you wheel on is washboard roads or fire service trails then that cheap stuff will prolly last you forever, but once you start...

Help with stereo wiring and amp

I'd multimeter the white wire with the blue butt connector. That might be the amp turn on. The other 2 white wires are the front speaker. Ground the black probe of a multimeter, put the meter on dc voltage, then measure the white wire with the blue butt connector and turn the radio on and off...

Spring and shock choice sanity check

It's all fun and games until your day of fun is ruined by a trail plug running crappy equipment experiences a failure and blocks the trail for hours while they try and figure out how to get their piece of shit out of the way. Shitty equipment belongs at the mall or the car show, not out on the...
