TJ Dana 44 rear axle seal leak driving me crazy

Mopar part number is the same as the crown part number. I cant say empirically they are the same but they look similar in pictures. (PN 83503063) If they are the same, crown charges $9 +/- where the mopar one is $28...

TJ Dana 44 rear axle seal leak driving me crazy

Yupp. Cleaned the seal checked it over, no marring. same for the interior bore of the axle tube. But again, it appears the leaking is coming from the axle shaft not the axle tube. almost as if the seal is not the correct bore for the axle shaft (I mean its like 0.02mm off but enough that as it...

TJ Dana 44 rear axle seal leak driving me crazy

Yes, they are the more rectangular ones and they matched the ones that came off the axle, raised lip pointing inwards

TJ Dana 44 rear axle seal leak driving me crazy

So I am dealing with this on my LJ now. Lost my Diff back in NOV and decided to rebuild the whole axle while I was in there. Put on a new set of bearings, races, seals, retainers etc. My rear left began leaking immediately. I was unaware this was such a common issue at that time so I chalked...

Is this noise coming from my diff?

05 LJ 6 MT. Started making this squeak last week. Very light. Got worse over the last few days. Only happens in forward gears, more prevalent in lower gears. Sounds like it's coming from the left but I jacked it up and checked everything, nothing loose or rubbing so it's internal. If it were an...

LJ died: fuel pump or something else?

Just the fuse itself, block is quite clean.

LJ died: fuel pump or something else?

All of the other fuses were ... different. IDK if the PO replaced that one at some point with a dime store fuse or what. Every fuse in that Jeep is the solid color fuses, this one was a translucent. Its a lifetime New England truck so lots of moisture, salt, and sand. If the fuse was as cheap as...

LJ died: fuel pump or something else?

I dont know if it has had the TSB done, but I havent had any faults / CELs since I bought her. I did replace all 4 o2s when I did the exhaust back in April. I am going to guess it is the PCM as one thing I did note after getting the jeep home today is that the PCM was very very hot; like cant...

LJ died: fuel pump or something else?

I checked the connectors at the ecu earlier and they all looked fine, that was one of my initial thoughts as well. I will check this section of the harness that you mentioned though as I did do a valve cover gasket not too long ago, hopefully I reseated that harness appropriately.

LJ died: fuel pump or something else?

So I have had the LJ for 4 or 5 months now, always been a champ but I always had this aching feeling that the fuel pump was on its way out. Under heavy throttle it just seems to bog almost like the fuel pressure is dropping. Last night I had some erands to run and I wanted to take the Jeep, go...

Vibration over 50 mph and weird squeak with clutch engaged

I dont think its the clutch as much as something that moves only when the clutch is engaged, but also only when the jeep is in motion. In neutral with the clutch out no noise, in any gear the noise starts, but, put the clutch in while moving at any speed, and the noise stops. I suppose it could...

Vibration over 50 mph and weird squeak with clutch engaged

Hey all, New LJ owner here. Looking for some guidance. Before anyone says it, yes, I have read through the other Oscillating Vibration posts. So I picked up this LJ about a month ago, first LJ, first 6MT. Its a 05 non-rubicon, manual, the previous owner bought it off a dealer who had...
