Is this noise coming from my diff?

05 LJ 6 MT.

Started making this squeak last week. Very light. Got worse over the last few days. Only happens in forward gears, more prevalent in lower gears. Sounds like it's coming from the left but I jacked it up and checked everything, nothing loose or rubbing so it's internal. If it were an axle I feel like it would be consistent so I'm assuming this is noise from the clutch packs in the lsd?

I would inspect the driveshaft U joints looking for rust colored dust around the trunion shaft where the U joint cup slides on.
This red colored dust would indicate dry needle bearings inside the U joint cups.

Sounds like the only time it rubs is when you hit the gas. Take a look at your exhaust and see if it’s close to any rotating drive parts
