I believe they're the old style Bestop. I haven't been caught in any typhoons, but they seem to work ok.

Yep! One good smack and the world is lovely again. Next time I feel like monkeying around with it for an hour, I'll pull the cluster and do a cleaning on it. You guys are great. You've saved me from a lot of hair pulling and whining. Thank all of you.

Guess I should add that the gas gauge, oil pressure, water temp, and alternator gauge still worked. Engine ran fine, radio played, turn signals worked, etc.

Had a crap day, so I figured a nice evening cruise would be soothing. All went well until I was three miles from the ranch. All of a sudden, I see a red "airbag" warning on the instrument cluster, and I've got no tach or speedo. All the lights on the dash were lit, but the indicators were not...
