    Safe-t-caps and frame repair

I'm building a pole barn this year and putting in a lift. I'm building a pole barn this fall and putting a lift in it. I'm also in the middle of building a house. I figure the safe-t-caps should last 2-3 years if the rest of the frame is in ok shape. Then I'll have space to do a frame swap...

    Safe-t-caps and frame repair

I'm inclined to do the safe-t-caps no matter what and clean/inspect the rest when I have the bottom of the end lopped off.

    Safe-t-caps and frame repair

Went to get an alignment today and they pointed out some frame damage. I feel like the problem isn't so bad that safe-t-caps would be acceptable. They said the rest of the frame was in good shape, it was just the one area. They are a pretty reputable Jeep shop. A frame swap with a new frame is...

    Help with alignment and steering

I've ordered upper and lower control arms from RockJock. The uppers are the double adjustable. It may be overkill but I really want to improve the ride. If anyone has a link to dialing in the pinion vs caster angle, id be grateful. I'll be buying an angle finder next. I think the gist is that as...

    Help with alignment and steering

I've tried less air, more air, replaced steering box. Rotated tires. Replaced jks track bar bushings. Tires aren't bald, it takes a lot for a ko2 to get bald, but they are 6 years old and probably have 45k miles on them. I did also consider they could be an issue. If it was the tires I would...

    Help with alignment and steering

My 2000 tj with my 4.0 is especially reactive to road crown. I feel like I constantly have to adjust my steering too. This is fine at low speeds but on the freeway it sucks. Even at low speeds I'm still having to drive uphill if there's crown. I have a heavy duty old man emu lift that's about...

Illumination and Fog Lights on a Headlight Switch on 2000 TJ

Ok.. I'll trace out the wire. It's most likely at the 6 plug block by the driver side door. Those little pins can get pushed out when you plug it in. It's most likely picking up power briefly from a different function on the switch as I slide it. Thanks.

Illumination and Fog Lights on a Headlight Switch on 2000 TJ

A couple months ago I had to swap out the electrical harness that runs from the drivers side ABS/Clockspring/MFS through the dash over to and including the fuse box. Put everything back together. Everything works except the illumination on the instrument panel and the fog light only mode...

    SKIM all melty and broken

I have a 2000 TJ. The airbag light came on randomly the other day as I was getting ready for a long trip and decided I wanted the illusion of safety so I tore into it. I went to inspect my wiring in the steering column and found my SKIM unit wiring was corroded, bare and the connector melted...

TJ not consistently driving straight and is drifting

I have an odd steering situation. When I'm driving down the freeway, for long stretches of time when I'm going straight the wheel is centered. Other times, for long stretches, it's off by about 30 degrees, always to the right and especially if it's windy blowing from the left side of the rig...

    TJ No Start

I fixed it. The pigtail connector on the trans had rattled loose. Score!

    TJ No Start

Apparently yes. The key with the slash lights up for about 5 seconds then turns off. I *think* that means it's detecting the key?
