Steering wheel easier to turn to one side

What NskLJ said. I had this happen to my 01 Ram trying to crank steering to break a seized unit bearing out. One direction was way harder than the other.

    I don't like my Rancho RS5000X shocks

This is good to know and is going to save me tons of work and $$$! I'm not even going to worry about replacing my worn out shocks because I love how smooth they are over bumps. I much prefer the ride of a shockless setup and thats as close as I have been able to get. Its like they're not even...

    I don't like my Rancho RS5000X shocks

@Mike_H, I had the exact same experience when I initially installed my Ranchos. Granted, I had pulled the rear sway bar to install bushings, so obviously any change in roll is magnified. Ran that way with old shocks for a while, no big deal. Threw the Ranchos on and felt like the rear end was...

take a look at the K Tools flaring tool. Its the same tool as the Eastwood one, but is sold under different names, TGR, K-Tools International. can find it on Amazon for $160ish. it is a fantastic tool thats easier and more capable than the Rigid type tool. Instant regret buying Rubicon Express

    Instant regret buying Rubicon Express

The made in China vs USA thing is really a moot point. The product and quality comes down to the company itself and what they deem acceptable. I design custom chassis' for a living (although not in the offroad world) and have come across superior products and very knowledgeable people from...

    '98 TJ Exhaust: 2.5 cat on 4.0?

thanks guys. it looks like its a shop special setup with a walker universal cat. I had read about the flex pipe which sounds like a good idea no matter what. I still find it weird there is only one O2 sensor, but if it passes smog I cant complain!

    '98 TJ Exhaust: 2.5 cat on 4.0?

hello. I'm going over my first Jeep and am trying to learn about it. Its a 98 4.0l 5 spd CA Jeep. It passed smog no problem, despite a cracked exhaust manifold, however I am confused on the exhaust and cat setup. Looking at the FSM it looks like it has the 2.5l setup with the small cat in the U...

    First Jeep Ya All

Hello everyone! Just picked up my first Jeep! I have been passively looking for a Jeep YJ or TJ and happened upon this TJ in town that was too good to pass up. And happy I did as the TJ seems like an awesome and comfortable platform. It's a '98 Sport 4.0l 5 spd that's looks to be mostly stock...
