Nothing happens when turning the key

Background: 2006 LJR Automatic Seldom used in last couple years. Battery is a 2019 Optima. Needed to move it off the driveway last week, after a few hours charging I only got some "click, click, click" when turning the key. Pushed it off the driveway. Yesterday, put it on a 10a "smart" charger...

    Brake service equals rabbit hole?

@LJ Thanks for the clear info. I will have to have some serious talks with myself! Long term plans probably include 35" wheels (and appropriate axle/diff gearing), but possibly a small camper as well. If I really think I'm doing that, then maybe the 15" big brake kit is called for (big $$ for...

    Brake service equals rabbit hole?

@Superjay5 And you have stock calipers on front & rear?

    Brake service equals rabbit hole?

@TheBoogieman Yes, I saw references to that company and it's strongly recommended. What are your (and the forum's) thoughts on just doing rotors/pads through them, keeping stock calipers and installing new stock flex hoses...

    Brake service equals rabbit hole?

Maybe I should have started a thread asking what are the preferred solutions for better braking? It may just be different materials in the brake pads, or maybe there are better calipers/rotors that still fit in the 15" wheels? I'd have to look at the off-set on these wheels, as I assume that...

    Brake service equals rabbit hole?

I need brake pads on my LJR, and whenever I need to service or replace something, I always consider if an upgrade would have any significant benefit or value. So, since my stock brakes don't to a great job stopping on the road with 33" tires mounted, would it make sense to upgrade to better...

Automatic Transmission Line Stuck to Radiator

To close out this thread (it's a pet peeve of mine when OPs don't report results/fixes), I'm happy to report that reassembly went fine. No exhaust leaks or coolant leaks. Need to get under the Jeep to confirm no trans fluid leaks from the lines, but I suspect none as the quick connect fittings...

Automatic Transmission Line Stuck to Radiator

For the exhaust flange bolts, I went to three national chain auto parts stores and none had a c-clamp with a spacer, cylinder, or socket style end to push a bolt into. I drilled out almost the whole bolt and then pushed the remainder out with a punch, leaving a flange in very nice condition...

Automatic Transmission Line Stuck to Radiator

Well, I got my skid plate off with no problems. I figured a way to support the transmission/transfer case. But, I broke the flange bolts on the muffler even after several days of using liquid wrench. But, I continued and now I've got my new radiator in and the transmission lines to it are in...

Automatic Transmission Line Stuck to Radiator

It's hard to believe it's been a month since I started this simple project. I should have known that nothing is simple, but I don't need the Jeep so I'm not in a hurry. I've got the downstream O2 sensor connectors off and I've unbolted the exhaust from the manifold (it bounces freely). I...

Can't figure out how to install automatic transmission lines on 2004 TJ

Two votes (one from some other thread) for dropping the pipe. I'll go take a look at that right now. Thanks!! Edit: Took a look. The top nuts will be difficult to get a box end on. Liquid Wrench applied. - There seems to be several layers/parts in this connection. Not as simple of a...

Can't figure out how to install automatic transmission lines on 2004 TJ

I've never understood that, and several forums behave that way. I must be in the minority, but it makes more sense to me to discuss more at length on a topic in one thread than to spread the discussions on one topic over multiple threads. Consolidate! Simplify search results! Oh well. We'll...

Can't figure out how to install automatic transmission lines on 2004 TJ

Reviving an oooooold thread. I'm replacing the automatic transmission cooling lines on my 06 LJR. Or, at least trying to! The one is really snaked around stuff where it goes into the transmission. Everything is disconnected and and the new ones are here. I found a thread where it was...

    05-06 PCM issue is solved

That's a nice quote! Sounds like the typical challenges a small business would face. I agree your focus on customer service will win the day. Keep up the good work.
