What did you do to your TJ today?

Making progress on fixing my wadded up frame

    Through the dash cage builds

Mine’s through the dash with one bend at the top of the dash and one down by the floor. A/C duct is untouched and functional. You can only barely see the a-pillar bar from outside the jeep. Getting a tube across the top of the windshield and keeping the latches for the top functional is about...

That’s what our theory was as well. Thanks

    TJ bracket identification

Anyone know what these brackets are? On a TJ frame I bought to rob a section out of to fix the one I wadded up a few weeks ago. Neither me or my buddy have ever seen these and they appear to be factory. No idea what year the frame is. They’re not on the section of frame that I’m using so it...

    GATORB8 LJ Build

Your rear was a good bit cheaper than mine from them. 1350cv to 1350 heavy tube and probably in the same ballpark lengthwise was $850ish from them. My 40” 1350-1350 2x.120” front was $350 shipped from Tom Woods. Starting fresh with all new parts for both of them.

I’d check with both to make sure before pulling the trigger. The price difference on the rear shaft (1350 cv to 1350 with their heavy tube) would have paid for the front shaft I got from TW. I’m all about supporting the local shop but it’s a big difference to eat.

    GATORB8 LJ Build

No complaints with the rear shaft I had Oliver’s make me, but Tom Woods was a LOT cheaper and faster than them. Like a $300 difference on each shaft.

What did you do to your TJ today?

Swapped in the BD LP6 headlights and switched from the H2 wheels I had to a set of new to me Hutchinson double beadlocks. And I washed all the grime off of it from the last few weeks of nasty weather.

Show me what's custom on your TJ

I tend to daily drive it unless I need my truck for truck things. I probably put 15k miles on it in 2025 and it was on jackstands from January to May while I redid the front frame/suspension. I don’t think they’d be terrible to do a seal/service on yourself either. I chose to send them in not...

Show me what's custom on your TJ

I’m pretty happy with them. I’m not 100% sure I would have bought them from the start based on price but I used them since they came with the TJ that this started out as. Saying that, I’ve been thinking about putting them on the rear now too. I somewhat blew the seals out of them during the 24...

Show me what's custom on your TJ

The list of what isn’t custom on mine is shorter than what is 😂🤣. Probably the most “uncommon” custom thing on it is having a Motobilt front half kit but with a steering box instead of full hydro. The box is from a 1979 F150 and everything that touches it is fabbed to make it work including the...

    DJ's TJ: Low and Slow

I’m pretty sure it’s a 1.75”. I’ve put a TON of miles on it since May. Like 10-12k 😂. A lot of street driving and it’s been in the woods a good bit too. And 2 400-500 mile 24hr endurance rallies with 24 Hours of Appalachia. I’ve had a few minor issues but overall I’m happy with it. No regrets...

    DJ's TJ: Low and Slow

I checked back into what I ordered from summit for mine. I’ve got the PSC sf25 flow control valve with a .160 orifice. I bought it to adapt straight to the -6 AN line but I guess I got lucky on the sizing. PSC pump for what it’s worth too. Mine is kinda slow at idle but any throttle picks it up...

What did you do to your TJ today?

Dropped it off to get the a/c fixed. I knocked one of the lines off of it during the frame work/resealing the engine and now it’s acting like it’s got a clog in the system somewhere.
