I originally had this same catback system, and it ended up cracking along the muffler welds in less than a year. I warrantied it and got the MBRP in its place and have had much better luck with it. The magnaflow also wasn't very much louder than stock. The MBRP had a bit more grumble to it

Definitely more than a weekend if you've never done it. Making setup bearings is a big PITA especially for the Dana 30, since you'll need 4 rather than 2. I have the MBRP catback along with the 3rd cat deleted. It sounds great and is made with 2.5" pipe with a 3" tip

I just did mine myself. Yukon 4.88's, Eaton E-locker and revolution 30 spline axle shafts in the rear. I left the front stock for now besides the gears. It wasn't too bad, definitely took a lot of time though.

I hate to revive an old thread, but I am experiencing the same issue. Did the redline end up helping more after a few months of driving?

Good point, I have the rebuild manual and I just read through it again. I need an assembly fixture which I found on ebay for a $320. I should have or be able to make everything else I need. I think a little over $500 to do it myself definitely beats $1000+ to buy one re-manned

Thank you for the advice! My synchros are actually shot, so I am currently looking into rebuilding myself or finding a re-manned trans. I definitely want to start off with the right fluid. Regular synthetic differential gear lube is okay to use with synchronized transmissions?
