On my '05 the place where I mounted the switches was a blank plate. On earlier models there used to be a switch to shut off the passenger side airbag (I think that's what it was for). The kit I bought came with switches to mount on the doors over the hole left from the original window crank...

I've had an '05 Rubicon Unlimited since new, and have had the Banks intercooled turbo for around 5 years. I've done a lot of rock crawling on Fordyce, Rubicon and other trails around here. Never had any issues with the transmission, I'm really happy with it.

Yes, the Trak-Lok was available. I would guess because a clutch-type allows more slippage, it puts less stress on the assembly.

I was able to find this: The Rubicon TJ had a Tru-Lok in the rear, it's a gear type limited slip combined with a manually selectable locker and does not need special lube. The non-Rubicon models had an optional Trac-Lok that is a clutch type limited slip and does need special lube. Trak-Lok...

If I remember correctly, the Rubicon limited-slip is a gear type (like a Detroit Tru-Trac) while the non-Rubicon models got a clutch-pack limited-slip (like a GM Positraction). I think it was only the clutch-pack type that needed special lube. To the original poster, if you don't have...
