Just to update everyone, I removed the front driveshaft and the ride was significantly better. Not only was the ride smoother but it was so much quieter as well. What gears would you guys recommend I upgrade to on a 2001 TJ SE with the 2.5 and an automatic transmission? I’m planning on running 31x10.50r15’s on it.

Just put a different set of wheels and tires on the Jeep and the vibration is still there. The mechanic I work with said it’s probably the transfer case but I’ve seen nothing to make me think that’s the case. I’m freaking stumped now.

Is it possible for a bad transfer case to cause a vibration at the speeds I mentioned?

Are there supposed to be 4 contacts in all for the 3rd brake light to work?

Well I balanced them them myself so I’d like to think I know what I’m doing. I’m thinking it’s either a u-joint issue or a transmission issue.

Balanced the tires this afternoon and it made zero difference.

Shifting to neutral makes no difference.

My 2001 Wrangler 2.5 SE has a pretty serious vibration at around 58 mph. The steering wheel doesn’t shake so I’m thinking it could possibly be the u-joints. Has anyone else had this issue?
