Something else you can try is with it running, use your hand or a digital thermometer to figure out where the restriction is. For example if top half of the condenser is hot and bottom isn’t something in the condenser is the issue. The temperature is going to be cooler beyond the restriction

Another thing to be aware of is if the system has too much refrigerant oil it can act as a restriction. Sometimes a new compressor comes with enough oil for the whole system, some will come without oil with a note to add oil

I like the guy above’s advice that has done the v8 swap and has worked out the bugs, but you could remove the hood to prove to yourself about the vents without going down that route

If you have access to a scanner, check what the coolant sensor reads on a cold start. If it’s not giving correct reading while cold it could cause it to stall like you described

I’m wrong, manual transmission sensor has 2 bolts and doesn’t look adjustable therefore doesn’t need the spacer

Mopar sensor would have one

Spacer should come on a new sensor. Replacement spacer was for reinstalling a sensor that had been used. Spacer most likely would get knocked off after starting the engine. Having no spacer when installing the sensor runs a risk of wearing away the tip of the sensor. Auto or manual doesn’t matter.

I was a Chrysler tech for 25 years. The mileage is the pcm is absolutely programmable but has no effect on the cluster. If the cluster did read the pcm mileage the original poster wouldn’t have started this post
