Oh Bugger ! so maybe the ECU at fault thought it was to easy .

The key had lost connection to the ECU

I have fitted a flagship 1 ECU to my TJ and removed the immobiliser but the key is still dead. There seems to be no power from the key to the starter but it will start by crossing the starter with a screwdriver and runs fine. Is there a wire that l have missed or should be connected somewhere...

l went with flagship 1 as it has worked with other TJs in the UK, could you recommend a seller that could be another option for me to try ?

Cheers for that, lve replaced the original ECU with a "Flagship 1" replacement that should be clear of any immobiliser function ?

Still not sorted this dreaded immobiliser problem. It will start by crossing the starter motor with a screw driver but the key is dead , the dash lights don't dim when the key is turned but the radio light (with no code in ) does dim. Is there a wire that should be connected to get power from...

There isn't any power getting to the starter motor from the key has anyone any ideas please ?

HA HA yea, its been on a trickle charger reconditioned and its on a dry cell battery in a dry garage , it does start its just not with the key .

Thanks lm going to remove starter and check that and earths first see how that goes fingers crossed !!!

the jeep hasn't turned a wheel for 7years because of illness so l will check starter and wiring it could be full of muck which earth wire should l look for please.
