I think your right about the transmissions you looking at. I don’t know that they would hold up with your hemi. My rear end is a Ford 8.8 with 4:10 gears and limited slip. It was my last project. We welded the tubes to get ready for the engine swap

So it’s been a minute since I have updated as to what has been going on, so here it goes. New rear end in. Dropped in a Ford 8.8 with limited slip locker, sye kit and very short drive shaft. All new steering. New front and rear fishbone off-road bumpers with winch. And one of my favorite mods...

ok, i will take a look. I did upgrade the gears to 4:10 with limited slip in the rear end. obviously will have to match the front end. What did the hp 30 come with as a gear set?

it currently is a 30, what i built is a ford 8.8 with the barns offroad truss kit. which was an amazing product. we welded the tubes and im feeling my 30 is not a total weak point. my goal is to beef up the drive train entirely before i drop an engine in. am i ignorant to the difference...

Finally finished building the rear end and now im hoping I can can source some options to replace my front end. All knowledge is appreciated. Thanks in advance for the thoughts.

Just for an update for this thread, I did finally find rear end for my tj. Ended up with a Ford 8.8 with limited slip. I am going to using a truss kit from Barnes 4wd to make the install a lot easier. min a side note I have a gremlin that I can’t figure out.... My Jeep has started to not...
