Mechanic took our rear bench seat out to do some work. Having trouble inserting the metal rou d rod into the bracket holes. I can get one side but not the other. Is there a trick?

I looked at the Amazon link showing 2 air vents and 2 rocker type switches. Does this just snap into the spot I have? How did you modify this to fit in the slot?

Okay, thank you sir. How would I go about locating a panel to fit here that would have 3 rocker switches to attach lights?

My first jeep & my first post... Dashboard in my 2001 jeep Wrangler has an empty spot where I assume an ashtray was located. I would like help finding the panel that would fit here so that I could add light toggle switches. Please see attached images...
