I am going to build a tire carrier that mounts to the floor since I have my rear seat removed. Does anyone have a recommendation on how to bolt it to the floor. Looking for ideas to make it structurally sound. I'm still in the planning stage so open to ideas. Thanks.

A brace in the shape of a T on the floor bolted through with a backpacking plate on the other side so it doesn’t pull through the bolt holes.

Dirt lifestyle just posted a video for making a tire carrier probably pretty similar to what you’re trying to accomplish. That may give you some tips as well.

I used this mount.

It works very well. The tire doesn't rattle or budge.
I did make a plate to sandwich the tub between the mount.
My favorite part is that I can remove the spare if I need to haul something big, and the mount is almost invisible and doesn't get in the way of anything.
