An evolution of my 97 Wrangler, Rue.
This little Jeep used to be my mom’s until she quit driving it, then it was my dad’s, then I bought it off him for 5K in 2015.
I inherited it with many problems, but it’s mine. I worked hard to fix it up and modify it to be my dream vehicle.
She’s my first car, she’s where my fiancée and I had our first kiss, I’ve taken her dozens of road trips, two of them across the country- one of which I got my dog on, the other I proposed on in Arches, Utah.
This little truck has so much sentimental value, and I’m never getting rid of it. I plan to teach my grandchildren how to drive stick on it someday.
As of last week, I’m done modifying her. In my eyes, she’s complete. Not to get too silly, but I could cry thinking about my memories with this little Jeep and how far it’s come. She’s been with me through it all. She’s my dream car. The only thing I might change someday is putting a family bar back in if I have kids. Otherwise, it’s just a matter of maintaining.
