What is this plug for?

New Jeep owner question. So I was working on my new Jeep today, and found a plug that wasn’t connected to anything. Jeep runs great, so I do not believe it’s anything major. Could anybody tell me what it is for please? Haha thanks guys!

Most jeeps have the same wire harnesses. Even if you don’t have that feature. Fo example, most jeeps are wired for a rear windshield wiper even if it has a soft top. Same thing for cruise control. Even if you don’t have cruise, you have the wires to install it. I’m guesing it’s for cruise or fog lights or some other option that you don’t have.

Ok that is what I was thinking. I have a rubicon so I would imagine I have almost all features.. could be wrong tho haha it is a soft top.. so maybe something to do with the wipers! Thanks for the answer!

I believe that harness is for the optional ABS which would be mounted on that big empty plate there.

It’s a 2004, yea I think you guys are right.. I don’t believe I have abs.. looked up what it looks like and no where in my engine bay do I see one! Thanks for that guys.. also turns out jeeps with the Dana 44 didn’t come with abs.. or that’s what google told me haha
