I probably wouldn't choose a softer metal as an upgrade for support bars. Just my own preference. It probably looks nicer though
 
Sounds like you said the tub mounts are rotted? I think you need to fix that first. The braces being damaged are a symptom on the tub not being attached solid to the frame.
 
Can you post some pics of the frame and body mounts? Tub may not be worth it.

I dont know of any good Jeep specialty shops in Hawaii. Never saw any, Toyota’s seem to be the choice for trail riding out there.
