Cruise control not setting

Well as far as i can tell. No other issue associated with vacuum. All interior functions are right as well as it runs perfectly.

That doesn't mean much unfortunately. It's almost certainly a vacuum problem (if not, it's probably servo related). The issue is that those vacuum lines are long, and run in a lot of dim, well lit places. My suggestion wouldn't be to follow the lines very, very carefully and inspect. All it takes is the tiniest crack in a line, which sometimes takes a lot of inspection.

If in doubt, replace the lines with new ones.

Well I have good vacuum and all other systems run perfectly. What should I try next?
Hey Paulie- did you ever figure out the cruise control? I have the same situation. Not that I even would use it that much, I just like everything to work! Thanks.

Did you do a smoke test to the vacuum system?

If it's not that, I suppose it's possible it could be a bad switch possibly, or even the servo itself.

In my opinion though, a cruise control issue is almost always vacuum related.

My cruise control is sucky. It will turn on and engage, but drops out in less than 5 minutes. Sometimes it will not engage again until I stop and cut off the car. I was leaning towards the steering wheel controls (2004 TJ). Today, I had a inspiration. I went for a drive and turned the OD off. I engage in 3rd gear and the cruise control worked fine. I've got to find out how this thing works and do some trouble shooting. It feels like the cruise control gets overloaded/hot in 4th gear and drops out.
