Trying to adjust my cable shifter, was having problems with shift lever not shifting smoothly and not being able to get into 4L . Anything obviously off? Which direction would you adjust this if it were you? I believe both the lever and the tc are in the same position of 2H

Backward works best for me- disconnect, raise handle, put TC in 4 lo by hand, set cable to reach

241 tc lever rolls clockwise

231 opposite I think

Blaine knows how to deal with it better than me-if he posts pay attention

This is a 231 , problem is it’s difficult to get it into 4L sitting still , last time it got bound up I guess .

Its a pain, rock it a little or lift rear wheels- will pop right in when not in a bind,

You have 2 adjustments- Throw and length I remember right

Have you got a lot of slack as you first raise the lever? Before it hits neutral

Looks like you need to loosen the big bolts and move cable toward lever and you have threads to do that

I cut down a cheap wrench.

You will love it once you get it dialed in

I think working backwards I am on to something. Thanks Andy !

Awesome- Keep us posted - start where ya wanna end up works sometimes

Remember each end adjusts some for reach.

Well seems to be working fine now, for me still need to kind of fiddle with 4L a very little bit just to make sure it stays Down into 4L. Maybe need to adjust ever so slightly?

Yes- undo one end and thread it “out” - you don't want it jumping out of gear.
