Clutch clicks when depressed. What do we think it is?

Can you tell if the sound is coming from inside the firewall (the pedal itself) or does it sound like it's coming from inside the transmission?

I'm asking because on one hand it sounds like maybe the pedal assembly simply needs lubrication or you have a brake light switch that's getting stuck (they are plastic and this does happen).

I can't really determine much from this video other than maybe it's a slave cylinder noise when it gets past a certain point, or maybe the pressure plate. Is it causing any kind of trouble with the engine running and driving? Can you still hear the noise in motion? If everything is driving ok I wouldn't worry too much but need to know more info before one can really say what it might be caused by.

Did you ever figure this out.
I had a very similar noise it was the springs in the clutch friction disc.
