There was a previous post with this truck at the bottom of Axle Hill. Proud to say that we successfully made it through Pritchett - start to finish. We did have a couple issues in the front axle- broken actuator/collar and broken intermediate shaft; but we had the parts to fix it on trail. Went through with zero body damage, with exception of a couple new scratches.
For those of you who are now wanting to take your full size vehicle up the canyon, make a hard assessment if you actually should. We had a full lot of spare parts to keep us going, a team of guys to help repair anything that might arise, and a seasoned spotter from rock crawling competitions.
For Jeeps, this is a decently tough trail. For oversized vehicles, it takes careful planning - and things can go sideways in an instant. Last thing we want to do is encourage a bunch of people taking their large/diesel pickup up here, breaking and clogging the trail.

We kept the best trail etiquette as possible, never bypassed the trail for something easier; we want to be good stewards of the trails at the end of the day.

HF winch put in some work to get that done.

And you recognize that spot don’t you? It’s not even an obstacle - a bit tippy, but certainly not tough. The fact that he had to winch there is telling.

You can get a Yogu through Pritchett with enough winching…

Which spot is it? it looks like down and dirty to me but I couldn't figure out why they'd winch across that.

I think so - but the truck is coming around the far left, down toward the dry creek bed.

And damn, that’s one good lookin’ spotter…🙂

It's like they wanted to avoid going all the way down so they had him drive across and put a winch line on to drag him due to lack of power. They knew they couldn't handle the rocks at the bottom.

After looking again, I think you are right. I think that’s the usual line, hooking tight around that little ledge.

And here it is

They made that look hard even with their creative editing, No video of Rocker Knocker??? Their passenger taillight was working in the beginning but it wasn't working going up Yellow Hill.

Good for them they "made it" but that was way more work than I'd want to do.

And definitely not

"I don't think so, Tim."

Al's shirt is very Canadian looking, Hmmm...

Anyway I'm Jim, not Tim and FWIW I used to identify as a Canadian until they decided to try to become The Great California North.

And just to clarify the word "Great," I kept it to refer to size, not quality. I'm not sure about Bob and Doug's thoughts on that word, though. If I had to guess I'd say they're probably still arguing back and forth that "It's SIZE!" "NO! It's QUALITY!" to distract each other and steal their Molson.
