Cigarette lighter

my plastic dash piece broke and the cig lighter is loose. I ordered a used dash piece and the plugs are not the same on the new cig lighter as the old, see pics. I am having a hard time removing the new cig lighter so that i can install the old one into the new dash piece. I assume i just need to push in on the 2 tabs and push the new lighter through the front of the dash piece. I am having a hard time trying to do that.
