42RLE Shifter Indicator Plate (Broken Clear Plastic Tab)

Hello folks,

Clear plastic tab is broken, is there a known remedy for this or do I need to buy a replacement shifter indicator plate? @Jerry Bransford , @Chris , @mrblaine (Please help 🙏)

Tried above methods but seems glue is not holding it. Left it for overnight so fingers crossed. In case it fails then will gear indicator plate from any year work or do I need to look for a specific years. Such as 2003 plus etc?

Look for the video on YouTube like @Daryl suggested. Baking soda and superglue makes a heck of a plastic piece.
