Has anyone come up with something that allows you to cover the rear seat floor brackets to keep your dog's from hurting their paws on them?

I could do that but I like the option to quickly put the seat back in if needed

I agree or Tractor supply stall mat cut to size and shape. Jig saw works great.
I have a buddy who had a plywood deck about 2” off the floor, he said the heat was an issue for his dog.

Do you fasten it to the dog, or to the floor?
I did the TSC stall mat thing. And I use the old seat brackets to fasten down my cooler.

I did remove the brackets, but still, for the dogs, I use a 36" X 36" saddle pad. Perfect fit and the fleece on bottom absorbs "a lot" of the bumps.

I got a dog bed from the costco...it's the exact size of the back....bout 2 inch thick.
