A friend of mine has a 2006 LJ that does not have cruise. He ordered all the parts because we both have heard that all LJs are prewired. We cannot find the wiring. Heard it was under master cylinder. Any advise or pics would be helpful

Driver side right where the cruise control acuator mounts. It's a big plug but I don't know what a noncruise lj wiring looks like. My plug is in the same loom as the brake master cylinder horn and other under hood things.
Not all LJs are pre wired. If you do not have the servo connector, you’ll need that connector and also a C3 connector to scavenge some leads.
I recently added cruise control to my ‘05 LJ and followed the video below. If you watch the video and review the wiring diagrams until it all makes sense, it’s a fairly straightforward project. I picked up the connectors on eBay and the servo from Collins Bros.

Servo Plug
- Pin 1 to C3 Pin 12 (VT/YL)
- Pin 2 to C3 Pin 5 (VT/LG)
- Pin 3 to Brake Switch Pin 4 (VT/WT)
- Pin 4 to Ground (BK)
- Splice into Pin 3 to C3 Pin 7 (VT/YL)
- Splice into VT to C3 Pin 34
- DB/DG (Ensure Ground Exists)
Thank you for the video. I chickened out last year when I found out my TJ isn’t pre wired. Your video shows it isn’t that big of a task to accomplish.

Hi All - following on from this thread - I found this wire connector coming out of the master brake cylinder harness on my RHD '99 TJ. Definitely no factory cruise installed so wondering if the presence of this connector means I have a pre-wired system, clock spring etc? I've looked through the service manual but cannot find this wire in it, at least not under the "Cruise" name. The wires appear to be Orange/Red, Green/Red, Blue/Red and Black but there is some discolouration of the orange so that might be brown or yellow. If it is cruise control then will be interesting to see how it connects to the actuator control, since that it on the other side of the engine bay! (Master Brake is on RH side of my TJ)

Found it in the service manual, I was looking under Cruise Control but its of course listed under speed control. Looks like I have the factory wiring! Woohoo!
