I seem to have a new noise on the TJ.
I’m new to learning all the pieces, but I’d like to learn more and be more knowledgeable to even know what to ask for — so far, no one who has looked at the Jeep has found that it had an issue. I know something’s off, so here I am for advice.
It doesn’t happen all the time, or every time the Jeep is stopped. But often enough that it’s concerning.
It’s a 2004 manual, I6
Last spring it got a 4” lift, 33s, new CV driveshaft, SYE, new transmission mount, and a few other various things.
I’ve recently had it regeared — 4.56.
The first time I noticed the vibration was because the dashboard was rattling. But after listening closer, I noticed there’s a rumbling vibration.
I’m going to attach a video, which I admit does seem to magnify the rumbling sound (and the dashboard rattle).
When this video was made, I had just driven the Jeep about 4 miles, so it wasn’t cold. It’s sitting still.
It seems to go away when the Jeep starts to move, as seen in video.
Any thoughts what it could be?
Thanks, all!
