I’m looking at a rust free replacement tub for my TJ and the floor is bedlined. I would have to change the color of the tub and I want to get rid of the bedliner. I’m not sure if it’s a thin DIY job or a thicker professional job. I’ve read that a heat gun is good for removing the thicker stuff.

Should I look for another tub?
Any insight is appreciated.

PS, there’s another tub that has drilled holes in the rocker where armor was, I’d have to plug and weld those.
Which would be easier and or less time consuming?

Yea that was kinda what I was thinking…. Way too much trouble. I don’t want rocker guards, just another place to trap water and mud, etc.

CitriStrip is the way, cost roughly $27.
