I sold my LJR yesterday against my better judgement. We had a large unexpected life expense…

Picked up a 2003 Rubicon to fiddle with. It has some sort of on board air compressor system that I have no knowledge about.

Anyone know what I’m looking at? Says Ester Oil on it, but can’t seem to make anything else out.

Thanks! I hadn’t seen a set up like this before. Anything I need to know or look out for? Looks like it’s leaking some oil.

Leaking where? If you get oil in the air supply which is very common, you can add an oil separator in the air output line.

I haven’t had a chance to really dig into it. Seems like it was around the fittings on top of the compressor. Just noticed oil on top of it.

It’s freezing outside, so I didn’t take to long to really try and figure out what was going on.

After looking at the photo closer I can see the fitting leaking and there actually is an oil separator on the backside of the brass tee.
You could try and tighten the fitting a little but don't get carried away.

Definitely, a York Compressor for on board air. I have one on my Jeep. Airs up tires quite quicly.

Follow that black line to see where goes. Tank, fitting?
