Hey Fellow Jeepers,

I wanted to put on a new aftermarket bumper on my Jeep this summer and I just wanted to see what bumpers you guys are running. What are some positives/negatives of running that bumper? Would you buy it again?

I'm looking at the Smittybilt XRC front and rear bumper with the tire carrier. I like that one because its got mounts for lights and a spot for a winch. Is the XRC any good? Any ones that are like that one? Pictures would be awesome too!

This is the front bumper I'm looking at:

Thanks Guys,

I'm running the same bumper! I really like the look of it, more so than any of the others I could find on the market.

The Smittybilt one I have is cheap for sure ($250). It's honestly not that bad of quality though. My only issue, is since it's Chinese the metal isn't as durable or thick as an American made bumper would be (though that would be 2 to 3 times the cost). However, I like the look of the Smittybilt better than any other bumper I could find.

BTW, I like that bumper @CasterTroy, your Jeep always looks great, especially with that tan top!

I paid $450 for the front and $645 for the rear, plus powdercoat.

Eddie sold his shop and is no longer making them, but that doesn't mean that someone else couldn't make something similar.

A little late on posting, but I felt like sharing mine. I have a front bumper made by Paramount Restyling for my Tj.

I have the dirtworx rear bumper and tire carrier combo as well. I added the options of a CB antenna mount and a hi lift jack mount.

Wow... That is hands down the best looking front bumper I've seen for a TJ. Now I'm thinking I need to replace my current one with this one.

I got mine in Ausgust of 2014. Eddie sold his company in 2015, along with all of the plans for his bumpers and accessories. Unfortunately, the new owner has no desire to continue making them.
