Hello everyone, just joined the forum. Picked up 2006 LJ Rubicon, one time owner, 112,000 miles and overall seems to be in great shape. We also have two 2015 JK’s with various mods etc. I had YJ for about 10 years, then a 1955 Willy’s pickup for about 5 as DD. I know I’ve got a lot to learn about the TJ’s so should be exciting. Here are a couple of photos of Ruby from the ad. Told the owner I’d keep the name that his wife named it in honor of her.

Thanks everyone. Had a chance when I got home to try the on-board air compressor, it worked well. Somehow they used the a/c compressor for air. There is a small tank under the Jeep and then a line ran to the front and rear. The owner says it works great for airing back up.

Many of us have added a second AC compressor for onboard air. The compressor is a pump and is pumping just air in this scenario so
airing back up is fast especially if you have large tires.

Got my curiosity up. Starting to get dark, but looks like the a/c compressor is located on drivers side under the power steering pump. There is a compressor above the alternator which I believe serves as the air compressor. Will need to keep that in mind when replacing the serpentine belt.
