P1294 code after removing throttle body spacer

PO had installed a throttle body spacer that I removed and while removing it I also put in a new throttle body gasket from Autozone. After ~50 miles of driving I had the CEL come on and it was a P1294. I checked that all the bolts on the throttle body were tight and also sprayed some throttle body cleaner through the IAC opening in the throttle body (saw Jerry recommending this on a different thread). I cleared the codes and all was fine but after a couple weeks without a CEL coming on the same code came back today. Looking for any ideas for what to investigate/test as I have a long weekend coming up and I'd love to just get this resolved while I do some other routine maintenance haha.

I suppose one course of action is to take the IAC valve off and give it a good cleaning by hand . Could it also be something to do with the new gasket because I did not have the issue since ownership until I removed the throttle body to take off the spacer.

Oh man - I'm 99% positive I found my issue. I started playing with the throttle cable and if I force it as "low" as it can go (aka no throttle) the Jeep idles down to where it should be. Started looking at why that could be and realized there's more parts to this stupid throttle body spacer kit that need to be removed. Notice the spacer on the mounting bracket for the throttle cable. Now I need to figure out if there are anymore of these stupid spacers and also buy the correct bolts because I assume these are longer than factory

To close out my own thread (🙃) and for anyone who may experience this in the future. Sure enough it was the throttle cable being out of alignment because the linkage bracket still had the spacers from the PO's throttle body spacer kit. As soon as I removed the spacers I am back to idling right in the ideal range and everything sounds 100%
