Who has made a wall decoration out of a Jeep TJ grille?

My 05's windshield was a bit rusty on the back side so I'm replacing it with one from a 97. My friend had the idea of taking my original windshield and replacing the glass with a sheet of steel or wood or something and using the hinges to mount it to the wall as a drop down work bench. I think I'm going to do that.

Haven’t decided yet so it’s just kinda there!! Love some of these ideas, kinda kicking around idea of using “messenger boy” bench frame legs from daddy’s old Western Union office with grill for back. That sit in front of shop but don’t tell Cindy, I’ll just surprise her with it!!!

My redneck garage AC is a box fan suspended from the ceiling. I'm getting ideas now...

I’d make that windshield frame into a fold-down bar. It would get more use than a second workbench in my place.

I was thinking you were going to say bar....

I quit drinking a couple years ago but that is a pretty cool idea. Maybe I can come up with something for my carbonated waters and cold brew :ROFLMAO:

I'm about to swap out a pushed in grill that the PO damaged before I bought my TJ. Is it cool to mount a "wrecked" grill on the wall?

my grill was pushed in a little, to the point where I couldn't fit my trans cooler in front of the radiator. After shopping replacement grilles and finding how pricey they were, I took a chance and just stood on the back side of mine and kinda lightly bounced on it. It's not as good as new, but I was able to push it back out enough to give me plenty of clearance for my cooler.

What you really need is one or more “Big Ass Fans”!
I was on their mailing list about 10 years ago as I inquired about using them for a project I was working on but they were unable to do what I needed.

Didn't stop them from sending t-shirts, coffee mugs, squishy donkeys etc. They like their advertising swag.

Glad that worked for you--mine is really pushed in, so I found a good used one for $50 (a steal). I repainted it satin black on the back, and black bedliner on the front (my jeep is dark green metallic).
