I got a p0016 error code. I’m going to replace a 10 year old doorman opda with a new crown opda.(and keep original cam shaft sensor) I purchased a thinkdiag2 in order to view cam/crank difference and perform a relearn before purchasing a new crankshaft sensor(jeep runs perfect with error code) I can’t seem to locate the cam/crank difference on the thinkdiag2. Can someone who has used the thinkdiag2 give me a brief tutorial on how to use the cam/crank difference and relearn functions with the thinkdiag2? Or direct me to a thread or video explaining how to do it?

1. Do a VIN scan
2. Select System - PCM
3. Select Special Function
4. Select Relearn Cam Crank

Follow the on screen prompts

Thank you for the quick reply. Will check as soon as I get home. Just to be sure... should the engine be running?

No cam/crank difference is under Read Data Stream menu.

You only put the key to the ‘Run’ position to go through the menus. Once you get to the Relearn Cam Crank part you will get on screen instructions on what to do at each step of the process.

I am using the Thinkdiag 2 with the app on my phone

Ok so it seems either one will work, I will have to make a choice on which one. I am leaning towards just the scan tool as most of the phone based ones require a network to work (from research I did in the past). If I wanted to take something with me on longer more remote trips I may not have a network available.
