Wildman's TJ is getting a face lift

Are you sure ‘ole @Zorba didn’t sneak across the country to sabatage your gigantic display?

🙂

Possibility....

Right now I'm about done trying to get it to work. The company I bought it from keeps telling me they are working on the issues but if they don't come up with a solution soon I'm yanking it back out. I figure they have until 1 Oct to have a fix for it. If not by then I'll pull it and install something else. I'm not going on my trip with a HVAC system that doesn't function properly.

Now onto the Jeep.
I tried to get some of the couplers you used and most of them are BO right now. Once I get the radiator back in and the accessory bracket installed I can get the final routing of the intake piping. It doesn't need to be hooked up to the cowl for me to run it.
I don't have that nice piece you did for the IAT so I've got to figure something else out on mine.

I am sure I have an OEM dipstick tube that you can have to a 46RE Grand Cherokee , However it mounts on the back bolt of the intake manifold and will be right under your air intake tube. I used a square to outline the area of residence to help you see what you would be dealing with.

Thanks for the offer but that wouldn't work.
I'm going to see if I can make the universal one I have work but if not then I'll figure something else out.
I'm going to check a few junk yards near me and see if they have any Dodge trucks. One like what I have on my Ram would work great.

Can't you just like, share the dipstick and get a cap? It's not like it's an engine operating part... just needed when checking oil

Doesn't the stuff you pulled out still work? Why not put it back in for now?

The transmission dipstick saga is over for now. I'll probably still look for a stock one when I have time.

It fits and works its just not in a great location. Granted most times it a check once every 6 months at best.

Getting things reinstalled and wiring hooked up.
Throttle body installed for the last time fingers crossed 🤞.

Not having that 6Pack sure makes for a lot more room.

I'm going to try turning the IAC around to make the plug fit better. It's not a only fits one way.

Once I've got the accessory bracket installed along with the alternator I'll play with the intake piping again.

Flipped the IAC around and the wire isn't as strained.

Looking like an engine again.

I'm not sure if I'll ever hook my A/C back up or not. I'll wait and see how well this radiator cools this engine first. Adding a condenser in front of the radiator has me worried. But if I decided to I've got the bracket again for the compressor.

Had to make a new crossover hose for the front of the fuel rails. I need to clear the air hat for the intake.

I think I've got the intake piping figured out on how I'm going to route things. I've also got the upper radiator hose figured out I hope. Just about ready to drop the radiator back in.

Here's the crossover hose installed.

The first part of the upper radiator hose with the temperature sensor installed in the adapter. Since the Air Gap intake doesn't have a location for the temperature sensor I had to put it into the upper hose.

I've got a metal sensor adapter coming from Summit Racing that is metal. Should have looked here before since this is only a few dollars more than the one I'd bought.

Had to take the day off from working on the Jeep. My new test socket I have isn't fitting properly and my leg was sore as hell.

Will get back out there tomorrow and work on some of the other little things that I still need to do. Also need to do some data logging for Ryan so I can get a new tune for the 108mm TB.
