I took my wifes 4runner to pay someone to change the oil because I refuse to deal with the skid plate or the upside down canister filter. Minding my own business but overhearing the conversation of the technicians, one guy mentions a job application had been dropped off by a guy named Marcellus and it reminded him of the character Marcellus Wallace in Pulp Fiction.

Me: <poke my head out the window> "Does he look like a bitch?"

Oil Change lube tech: <blank stare> "uuuh, i dont know, he was kinda short"

Me: :cautious:

So apparently this guy hasn't actually seen the movie, he just knows the name of a character.

I can't express how disappointing it is that he didn't get the reference, but I have no regrets.

So many great lines in that movie. Every time I hear someone mention a quarter pounder, I call it a Royale with Cheese.

When I saw it in the theater, someone fainted during the adrenaline shot to the heart.

I used to have a boss/owner named Brad. I said "Checkout the BIG BRAIN ON BRAD!" one too many times. He told me to stop saying that. Especially when he would say dumb shit.

there really are. I wasn't old enough to see it in the theater but once I saw it, it was a big deal. I have reservations with Tarantino as a person but Pulp Fiction, Django, and Inglorious Basterds are probably all in my top 10 favorite films of all time. I would guess Pulp Fiction has to be in my top 5 for watch count.

Same here, if I'm flipping channels and it's on, I will watch part of it at least. I really like Reservoir dogs and Kill Bill too.

I don't care who they are in real life, or I wouldn't be able to watch any movies really. Admire their talent, but not their ideals.

A simple "what?" would have been a correct answer, even if he didn't get it.
