Another Gear Pattern Check Request

I’ve played with several different patterns, but ended up going back to the same stack I used in post #4 (0.027 behind the pinion race). I can’t seem to get it any better than this. Carrier shims are a little different and the backlash is only 0.005 now. I know spec is 0.006 to 0.010, so is 0.005 too tight? Does that pattern look runnable? Thanks for all your help.

Ricky is right I would pull .003. This will also help open your backlash.
 
See how its starting to spread across the tooth instead of being shaped like part of a circle? I'd try and do it again.
 
Yep a couple thou more and I bet you will get it. My bet is that backlash will fall in line at the same time.

I really appreciate everyone’s help so far. I’m trying to finally finish this up today. I went from 0.020 to 0.015 and it looked like I needed to pull more. These pics are at 0.010 and I think it’s pretty close. I went down to 0.006 and that was too much. Then I went back to 0.012 and don’t think it looked as good as 0.010. What do y’all think?

When you reply, just show one pic of each side.... When you give a bunch of different measurements and several different pictures it's hard to follow your thought process and what is what.

Ok then yeah I think you're there. Looking at the cost side now, it looks like the pattern is where it needs to be, it's just not contacting on the lower right side. When you look at the original pic, you can see where it looks like it would make a nice oval pattern but it just isn't contacting all the way. You might give them a call and see what they think.... Probably good though.
