Time for me to call it a day.
I must have done something wrong.
The tone right isn’t sitting flush on the oil pump.

I know what I did wrong already.
I put the oil pump inside the case when it should rest outside the case.

I followed this step the pictures are not clear so I made the mistake.

Then I went to the top on the instructions and seen this. That’s when I knew I fucked up.

FWIW, I had the bleepinjeep video up on the TV in my garage (geez, that sounded pretty hi-toned didn't it?) and followed his steps very closely and didn't have any trouble. I do remember the pump/filter install being a little bit tricky though.

My transfer case had the harmonic balancer so it was different than that video.
The first lock ring and snap ring sat more in which made it more difficult to get to the rings with the pliers. Especially the snap ring with my 90 degree snap ring pliers.
Also had a seal which his transfer case didn’t.
