Anybody up for a random meme dump?

For those aircraft nerds: That’s a B-47 using Jet Assisted TakeOff (JATO bottles) at the back of the fuselage. The black smoke out of the engines is from the water injection used at takeoff for extra thrust. Each of the engines was about 7,000 lbs of thrust. Compare that to one of the Boeing 777 engines at 90,000 lbs thrust.

For those aircraft nerds:

Wouldn't this really be for non-aircraft nerds, because an aircraft nerd would already know this? :ROFLMAO:

Each of the engines was about 7,000 lbs of thrust. Compare that to one of the Boeing 777 engines at 90,000 lbs thrust.

So one Boeing 777 engine, at 90,000 lb thrust, has over twice the combined thrust of the six engines on the B-47? Wow. They should use the Boeing engines on the B-47!
