A friend called me and said he knew where a 2000 T.J. sport was that the owner was tired of messing with and was interested in selling… Patriot blue, hardtop, full doors, manual transmission, 150,000 miles and no rust… Owner said started running rough and threw a P0123 code so they changed out the throttle position sensor but that didn’t fix it, so they were told it needed a PCM, so they swapped out the PCM, but that didn’t fix it then they were told it was a wiring issue so they wired a new pigtail into the throttle position sensor and that didn’t fix it. I drove it home and started back tracing the wiring from the throttle position sensor and figured out they had crossed the 5v wire and the signal wire on the pigtail and that the clock spring is the actual culprit,… After I rewired the pigtail, it runs like a charm until you plug in the clock spring and then it runs like shit and then if you unplug it, it runs smooth again… Needs a few repairs like blower motor, HVAC head unit, repair of the hardtop and some TLC but all in all solid rig…. Cheers!🍻

I can not see Cruise Control on your Jeep so that should make locating a replacement Clock Spring somewhat easier. Clock Springs that have the CC function have become very difficult to locate.
My opinion would be to locate a factory pig tail for the TPS and install that instead of the crimped wiring.
Congratulations….. Looks like a nice Jeep,….’

I’m probably in the minority and may get banned, but… After driving this five speed for a few hours I love my automatic… Lol

If you had to do much stop and go traffic I'd definitely agree.it probably has the wrong axle gearing too.

I like the color👍🏻

The only issue with my manual is that after driving it on a weekend run the next day I keep pushing my left foot down when I brake my autos. Stop and go traffic is no problem. I just keep it in first and keep room in front of me. Mine is not a DD.

I drove it yesterday while working on it and today I drove the automatic to pick up parts and kept trying to step on the clutch all day…😂
