But dang yo. What kinda noise did that make? How fast were you going at the time?
Did you install the SYE or was this done by shop ?
Could this be caused by a lubrication problem in the transfercase ?
Wondering if the oil pump pickup was not aligned properly and inserted into the pump.
I did it myself. My first time doing one. I put the tube inside the pump. I’m thinking it was still error on my end.

My front driveshaft made the most noise. It was just flinging around everywhere.
There's a good chance that happened from the front driveshaft's CV seizing which is getting more and more common as our TJs age. Especially if you ever heard an 'angry sparrows' sound from the front while driving. We never used to see this problem but it's getting common now.Just my luck.
