I'm the new owner of a 2005 Wrangler LJ previously owned by my father. He passed away at the age of 89 in November. My dad was a diesel mechanic and always a car guy. He valued his Jeep and took great care of it. It has been garaged since new and has only 66,000 miles. I didn't know much about the LJ model until recently. I will keep it until my time comes and it will be passed on to my kids. I will do a few upgrades, but want to maintain the dependability my dad valued. I too am a car guy. I restored a 67 Camaro RS about 20 years ago and enjoy working with my hands. I also have a Cummins-equipped 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 that I keep in pristine shape. I try to DIY most projects and learn as I go.

So far, I added 31" BFG TAs, clear front turn signal/corner lenses, and a Pioneer double-DIN head unit with Android Auto and back up cam. Yesterday, I installed 2.5" springs with new shocks. The Jeep rides well, but despite being only 1/2" to 3/4" off-center, I NEED to center the differentials. I ordered a pair of JKS track bars after some research here. I'm hoping they'll also re-center the steering.

I value the experience and tips I've used from the site and look forward to learning more.

Best wishes,

Mike
