Looking into options to replace my fat rear Chinese Bumper.

Requirements are:

- Full width so that it extends to the corners of the tub (purely for esthetics)

- A hitch so that I can mount a bike rack.

- maximize ground clearance

- Remain somewhat lightweight

- Be of good build quality

Current options:

- Motobilt (cons 54 lbs) https://motobilt.com/collections/je...-cj-yj-tj-rear-rock-crawler-bumper-bare-steel

- UCF (cons, sticks out alot) https://undercoverfab.com/jeep-tj-lj-97-06/201-ucf-aluminum-rear-bumper-for-jeep-yj-tj.html

- dirtworx (not a huge fan of the looks) https://www.thedirtworx.com/product-page/rear-bumper

What other options are out there that would work for me?

You missed the Motobilt Crusher rear. It is 50 Lbs. Wraps around the corners. 50 Lbs, and even more tight/high clearance.

PO installed the Dirtwurks with tire carrier. It appears to be well built. It has a crinkle type coating. Safety chain holes are small, quarter for comparison, and will not fit larger hooks. The only thing I do not like about mine is the mechanism that holds the carrier secure is not the best design.

Go with the American made Dirtworx bumper, they can even customize it if you have any particular requirements. The receiver hitch is integrated into the bumper so it doesn't reduce ground clearance. Dirtworx bumpers are also priced competitively with the Chinese crap.

This is my second Dirtworx bumper, they're solid and beefy. They do come unpainted, you just need a can of Rustoleum self-etching primer and a can of Rustoleum satin black, easy-peasy. Just pay close attention to the can's instructions on painting intervals between coats.
