Had coworkers over from one of our Norwegian facilities once and they were explaining about how there are more Norwegian people in Minnesota than there are in Norway. I'm an unfortunate transplant so I'll take him at his word since Norwegian's know everything.
That's pretty funny! If I'm remembering your post history, you are a transplant from the south border. I was a transplant from the east border. What I found with the Skandahoovians was similar to your experience ("...Norwegian's know everything"). I found that they are very self-reliant, generally smart, and tough, which can manifest as "knowing everything," but they'll also go way out of their way to help a stranger in need. I enjoyed my time in Roseau. Great place with great people. My wife, however, even though she was also a transplant from the east border, despised that place. "Too cold and too remote," she says.
