About 20 minutes into my commute home, my Jeep Wrangler (2018) started to squeal when I accelerated. Then, the rpm’s dropped and the Jeep stopped moving. I sat on the side of the road for a bit, started back up and it drove again, not over 30 and not for long. The rpms dropped and I had to start the process over to make it home. I’m told this is a common Jeep problem and it’s a small part. Any idea what this is?

I had a jk and never heard of this problem. Sounds like a belt issue to me.
Don’t know if you saw the previous post…….but your asking questions on a forum that specializes in 1997 to 2006 year jeeps. They are completely different from your 2018 year jeep. Different motors, different trannys, different electronics and we really won’t be much help in troubleshooting your 2018 Jeep. We specialize in 1997 to 2006 jeeps. They are “tj’s”. You have a “jk”.
